Data access
Open Data on Zenodo
Newly generated data within the DigiWELL project are openly shared as soon as the related scientific publication is released. Once a study is published, the corresponding dataset becomes publicly available in the Zenodo repository, ensuring transparency, accessibility, and proper citation.
Access to Additional Data Upon Request
Beyond publicly available datasets, we also support meaningful secondary research using additional DigiWELL data through a structured and transparent data access process.
At the same time, we are committed to protecting sensitive information, participant privacy, and the overall integrity of our research. For this reason, each request is reviewed individually, and approval is not automatic.
Important principles before submitting a request:
- Your application must describe a clear and legitimate research purpose in detail.
- Data may not be used for commercial purposes without explicit agreement.
- We reserve the right to decline requests based on scientific, ethical, legal, or commercial considerations.
- If approved, you are bound by confidentiality obligations — data may not be shared further or used beyond the approved purpose.
- All publications resulting from DigiWELL data must properly cite the dataset and acknowledge the DigiWELL project.

- Initial administrative review
Our data management team verifies the completeness and validity of the request. - Evaluation by the Data Access Committee (DAC)
The Committee carefully assesses:- the scientific merit of the proposal,
- potential risks related to participant identification,
- ethical and legal considerations.
- Decision and secure data provision
You will be informed of the decision by the data manager.
If approved, secure access to the data will be provided (e.g., via a time-limited secure link), together with clear terms and conditions for data use.
Shared Responsibility
Even after approval, compliance with all agreed conditions and the protection of data security and integrity remain essential throughout the entire period of use.
Our goal is to foster high-quality, responsible, and collaborative science. If your research idea is methodologically sound and ethically grounded, we welcome your proposal.
