November 19 @ 17:00 - 19:30

The Psychology of Intergroup Relations from the Perspective of a Romani Researcher

How can a researcher’s personal experience shape their view of social relations, prejudice, and identity?

The workshop “The Psychology of Intergroup Relations from the Perspective of a Romani Researcher” offers a unique opportunity to explore research on social interactions through the lens of a member of the Romani community.

The workshop will be led by Mgr. Roman Koky, who specializes in the psychological aspects of coexistence between different groups in society.

The workshop will be followed by a discussion focused on supporting young people from the Romani community in making decisions about their further studies.

This part will include Daniela Kokyová, a student at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Brno University of Technology, who will share her experience studying at a technical university and what motivated her to pursue this path.

19 November at 5:00 PM
IQ Roma, Vranovská 846/45, Brno

The discussion will be moderated by Assoc. Prof. Martina Hřebíčková, PhD, DSc.

The event will also include an informal gathering with refreshments.

The event is organized as part of the DigiWELL project – Excellent Research in Digital Technologies and Well-being, in cooperation with IQ Roma Service and the Czech Academy of Sciences.
