The aim of supporting research and development must be the development of cutting-edge capacities (both in infrastructure and human resources, including increasing the ability to better utilize the potential of qualified women), deepening the knowledge potential that entities in the Czech Republic possess, focusing on current and future societal challenges, and the ability to build a foundation for the future applicability of research and development results in practice, which serves all indiscriminately. Only in this way can the Czech economy compete long-term with advanced countries.
PRIORITY 1: Among the basic interventions of the OP JAC will be Strengthening strategic intelligence and competencies for the management of R&D policies and support for innovation ecosystems at the national and regional levels. Enhancing internationalization and the development of the institutional environment of research organizations, strengthening cutting-edge research teams. Strengthening the cooperation of research organizations with the application sphere, enhancing the applicability of R&D results and strengthening the orientation of research in research organizations towards areas with high potential for practical applicability. Strengthening key infrastructure necessary for cutting-edge research.
PRIORITY 2: Education Education is considered one of the key values and prerequisites for positive social and economic development. With the advent of the challenges of the 4th industrial revolution, the original role of formal education is significantly changing and requires closer collaboration among education stakeholders. The general aim is to create and develop an open educational system that responds to the changing external environment and provides relevant educational content from a lifelong learning perspective. The goal of education in the next decade must be an individual equipped with basic knowledge and skills, who can maximally utilize their potential in a dynamically changing world for the benefit not only of their own development but for the development of society as well.
