Press Conference on the Topic: Risky Behavior of Czech Children
Risky Behavior of Czech Children
They drink and smoke less. However, they have discovered vaping and indulge in energy drinks.
The press conference will focus on the research results concerning the lifestyle of children and young people in the Czech Republic and in other countries worldwide, based on data from the international research study HBSC (Health Behaviour in School-aged Children).
Czech children do not drink alcohol as frequently as before. Compared to data from the beginning of the millennium, the popularity of smoking traditional cigarettes is also declining. The same applies to experiences with marijuana. Data from the latest research indicate that approximately half of ninth graders (precisely 47%) neither smoke, drink, nor use marijuana regularly. The HBSC study also highlights other phenomena with risky potential: vaping and consuming energy drinks.
