Interested in how technology influences physical activity, nutrition and wellbeing?
DigiWELL is a research project focused on digital wellbeing, health behaviour change and the use of mobile technologies (mHealth), sensors and EMA data in the areas of:
- physical activity, sedentary behaviour and sleep
- dietary behaviour
- wellbeing, quality of life, emotion regulation and self-regulation
- long-term adherence and motivation
The project connects health psychology, kinanthropology, behavioural sciences and digital technologies. The research is based on modern behaviour change theories (e.g. COM-B, HAPA) and innovative methods (JITAI, micro-randomized trials).
Who are we looking for?
Motivated PhD students (full-time study, starting September 2026) who:
- have a master’s degree in psychology, kinanthropology, public health, behavioural sciences, data science or related fields
- are interested in research, data and technology (programming is not required – curiosity is enough)
- want to publish, present at conferences and be part of internationally oriented research
- can work independently but also value teamwork
- knowledge of statistics and software such as R or Mplus is an advantage
